Christmas - 2006

CHRISTMAS 2006

Well Christmas has come and gone and we are all in debt once again..... It does not matter how long you are away from Africa ...you will always miss the big family Christmas days in the sunshine... this year was paticularily hard as it was the first Christmas without Dad. I know that Mom would have missed him the most, I was really glad that she was able to spend the day at Gregs place with the family. Glynn did a fantastic job with Christmas this year... as always.. making sure that all the decorations were up and a "real" tree was in the home. The boys are getting so big and you know how it goes... Christmas looses it's appeal as we get older. We tried to keep the Gifts small and keep the commerce out of Christmas... but that is difficult. I must tell Greg that I did get tickets to see Clapton and Robert Cray... yes that is Glynn keeping the gifts small.. she must have been referring to size when she said gifts should be small and not the value.

Above a picture of the table. We had a total of 8 people for lunch and I must admit that the table was outstanding. A fantastic lunch and as usual I ate far to much. I was telling everyone of Gregs Christmas lunch strategy... dish up last and then you can take all you can eat.... everyone has had there portion... Greg allways had a "HUGE" plate of food and then..... yes you guessed it... "SECONDS".... you go Greg...

Ken trying to carve the chicken.... not very successful but got th job done. We have to get a sharp knife... possibly next year for Christmas.... Glynn take note...

We certainly missed you all in Africa and would like to take this opportunity to extend and invitation to you all to have Christmas at our home next year....
